The payroll department has moved to Genesis. Effective with your January 15th pay, you will be able to access your pay stub online, and will no longer receive the paper copy. The payroll department converted all of the data in the old system into Genesis. Please review your paystub for accuracy! This includes: loan deductions, pensions, and tax-sheltered annuities, etc.
Go to: portal.sbschools.org (use email log in credentials)
NOTE: If you log into the system and have difficulty finding your paystub, watch the help video by clicking into the payroll tab and then clicking the question mark symbol in the upper right hand corner of the screen. If you need access to the Employee Portal, please email Michael Moore as soon as possible.
It is also important to note that there are a multitude of reasons why your January 15th pay may be different than your December 30th pay. Please be aware of the following:
- SUI / FLI – State Unemployment Insurance and Family Leave Insurance taxes begin again and your check will be slightly less due to these deductions.
- Health Care – Here at South Brunswick our Health Care runs from 12/31 to 1/1. Therefore, our new health care rates have kicked in and you will see an increase in your health care contribution, less in your paycheck.
- Tax Rates –The Federal and State Tax Codes have changed and this may have a positive or negative impact on your paycheck. If you have questions regarding your deductions and/or the number of dependents you claim, see your Tax consultant and discuss your concerns. The SBSD will not be held liable for excess taxes withheld, or not withheld from your pay.
If you have any concerns regarding your pay and/or deductions, please DO NOT call the Business or Human Resources offices, please send an email to email@example.com and we will respond within a timely manner. In your email, be as clear as possible regarding your concern so that we can provide a clear and concise response.
Important: Check your Pay Stubs for accuracy!!
Please remember to check your pay stub for accuracy. Take your Regular pay and multiply it by 20 and it should equal your salary. If your check is not accurate, or you have questions about your pay stub, you can contact the Payroll Department at the Board Office at x3112. Don’t wait on this!!! If your check is less/more than it should be, and you wait too long to correct the problem, you may not get the money back, or if you are being paid too much, you will have to pay the money back in a lump sum.
